One of the things I am determined to do more of when I go freelance is to go to conferences. I’ve only been to two in my 12 years as a professional and that is appalling – as soon-to-be master of my own time and workload, I plan to try and get to at least one or two conferences a year. The first one I went to was the inaugural Full Frontal conference in Brighton back in 2009 (bloody hell!) – the majority of it went flying over my head but I picked up some great people within the industry to follow on Twitter such as Remy Sharp. I find Twitter a great tool for keeping right up to date with developments within the web dev industry.
Anyway, I’m looking to go back to Full Frontal this year to try and further my knowledge and hopefully pick up more great people to learn from. Tickets go on sale on 9th July – http://2014.full-frontal.org/, so I better set an alarm in my diary so I don’t forget!
